What this site is
Plan KI is an independent travel guide and trip planner for Kangaroo Island, South Australia. We don’t run tours, hotels, or ferries. We write about places we’ve been, experiences we’ve had, and operators we’d send a friend to.
Who’s behind it
We’re a small team of locals and frequent visitors who got tired of generic listicles and tourism-board fluff. So we built this. The itinerary builder is the centrepiece — tell it what kind of trip you want, get a day-by-day plan you can actually follow.
How we make money
When you book a ferry, flight, hire car, or stay through one of our links, we sometimes earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We also work with partner operators on KI — KI Outdoor Action, Little Sahara, and the KI Ligurian Bee Co — and we point our readers to them when their experiences genuinely match. Commercial links are tagged in our footer.
What we won’t do
We don’t take cash for fake reviews. We don’t pretend we run something we don’t. We don’t use AI to puff out copy. And we don’t hide the ferry-cost reality. The whole point is to be the kind of site we wish existed when we were planning our first KI trip.
